The medical visa

As with India, a medical visa requires documentation from the treating hospital. We obtain the letter of invitation once your case has been reviewed and a plan agreed, then process the application at the Turkish embassy, including for a family member travelling with you.

Language

This is the part patients raise with us most often, and it matters more than people expect. You should not be trying to describe symptoms, understand a consent form, or follow discharge instructions in a language you do not speak.

A multilingual personal assistant meets you at the airport, accompanies you to the hospital and interprets at every appointment. Our case managers here speak Somali, Arabic and English, and stay in contact with the hospital throughout your admission.

Your stay

During your admission our medical team stays in contact with the hospital, and your assistant stays with you. After treatment, you continue to recover at the hotel during the convalescence period. Once the medical management team and your attending physician approve the final reports, we organise your return and your assistant accompanies you to the airport.
