Who we are

Akabir Health is a medical tourism company based at Makka Al Mukarama Street, near the Immigration Headquarter, Mogadishu, Somalia. You can reach us at info@akabirhealth.com or on +252 619 505 202.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and country, together with the message and any medical documents you choose to upload. If you create an account we also store a hashed version of your password — never the password itself. Our web server records your IP address and browser identification for security purposes.

Why we collect it

We use this information for one purpose: to arrange your medical treatment. That means reviewing your case, approaching suitable hospitals on your behalf, preparing a quote, arranging visas and travel, and staying in touch with you before, during and after treatment.

Who sees it

Your medical information is seen by the Akabir Health team handling your case, and by the hospitals and clinics we approach on your behalf with your knowledge. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How it is protected

Documents you upload are stored so that they cannot be retrieved directly over the web; they are released only to you and to the staff assigned to your enquiry. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Access to the administration area is restricted by role, and privileged actions are logged.

How long we keep it

We keep patient information so that we can respond to further requests about your case. You may ask us to delete your account and associated records at any time by writing to info@akabirhealth.com.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@akabirhealth.com and we will respond.

Cookies and analytics

We set one session cookie so that you can stay signed in, and an optional cookie if you choose "keep me signed in". We remember your light or dark theme preference in your own browser. None of these are shared with anyone.

We also use Google Tag Manager, which loads Google's analytics services, to understand how people find and move around this website. These services set their own cookies and receive your IP address, the pages you view, and general information about your device and browser. They are operated by Google, not by us, and the data is processed on Google's servers outside Somalia.

We use this only to improve the website. We do not send Google the contents of your enquiry, your medical documents, or anything you type into a form. Medical information you send us stays within Akabir Health and the hospitals handling your case, as described above.

You can prevent this collection with your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker, or Google's own opt-out browser add-on. Doing so has no effect on your ability to use this site or to send us an enquiry.
